The deputy governor, His Excellency, Engr. Haruna Manu earlier today represented His Excellency, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku at the Armed Forces Remembrance Day.
Engr. Manu said that this day is significant in our national calendar because those that are being remembered today laid down their lives so that we can live in peace.
The deputy governor salutes the courage of the men and women in the Nigerian Armed Forces on this day specially set aside to honour the memory of our fallen heroes and expressed that the labour of our heroes past shall never be in vain.
Those present to honour our legendary and gallant soldiers on this memorable day are the Speaker, Taraba state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Joseph Albasu Kunini; the Secretary to the state Government, Hon. Anthony Jellason amongst others.
