
Gov. Ishaku wearing a nose mask as a precautionary measure at the state’s executive council meeting presided over by him.
The Executive Governor of Taraba state, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku has again advised Tarabans to stay strong and positive at this moment of world trial, saying together we shall overcome it.
The Governor also appealed to Tarabans to adhere to the precautionary measures instructed by medical practitioners especially on personal hygiene such as washing of hands regularly, practicing social distancing, use of hand sanitizers.
He gave the advise yesterday 30th March 2020 at the State Executive Council Meeting presided over by him.
Briefing the media after the meeting, the Commissioner of Information, Hon. Danjuma said the meeting was necessary because the Governor needed to approve in earnest the implementations of the report of the Committee on the COVID-19 that was inaugurated last week.
Hon. Danjuma further said the order placed with respect to movement by the Governor will be more strict this week and advised travellers to stay at their destinations because they won’t gain entrance into the state until after the next 14 days.
He however cleared the air on the rumour making rounds that there was a suspected case of a person affected with Coronavirus in Gashaka, stressing that the said case was taken for test at Lagos with the result being negative and as a result, Taraba state is free from the pandemic at the moment.
The meeting which took place at the state Executive Council Chambers Government House Jalingo, had in attendance the Deputy Governor, Engr. Haruna Manu, the Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Anthony Jellason, the Chief of Staff Government House, Rt. Hon. Istiphanus Gbana, the Head of Service, Mrs Suzzy Nathan and Commissioners.
