The attention of Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku has been drawn to a social media post today April 1, 2020 alleging that an unnamed son of his family had tested positive to Coronavirus.

A Statement by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity Bala Dan Abu says the supposed son of the Governor was said to have been tested for the virus at the Specialist Hospital in Jalingo.

It says the allegation came on the hills of Governor Ishaku’s decision on Tuesday suspending church services and Juma’at prayers in the state for the next two weeks to prevent Coronavirus infection in the state.

The statement categorically on behalf of the First Family of Taraba State maintains that no member of the family has tested positive to Coronavirus.

It adds that none of the children of Governor Ishaku is presently in Taraba State, describing the allegation as a fallacy and contains not a single grain of truth.

The statement says the allegation emanated from the handiwork of mischief makers who are out to discredit the laudable proactive steps Governor Ishaku has taken to prevent Coronavirus infection from Taraba State.

It urges the good people of Taraba State to disregard the social media publication which is only a figment of the imagination of the enemies of progress.
