Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku has congratulated the Minister of Power, Engr. Sale Mamman for wheeling over five thousand megawatts of electricity onto the national grid.

This was reported by the Special Adviser to the Governor on New Media, Hon. Osborne Adi.

The Governor who made the commendation while playing host to the Minister in his office today in Jalingo said it was heartwarming that in spite of all challenges within the sector, he was able to achieve the feat.

He invited the Minister to join him in the task to build a new Taraba state, adding that their political party differences should be a reason for them to work together in order to improve power supply in the state.

He said he was impressed with the good working relationship between the two of them. He therefore, challenged other political office holders from the state at the national level to emulate the good gestures of the minister.

Earlier, the Minister informed his host that he was in his office to update him on the progress of work on the Mambilla Power Project as well as to pay the traditional sallah homage.
