Gov. Ishaku presented a Carton of Mambilla Highland Tea to the DG NAFDAC, Professor Mojisola Adeyeye at NAFDAC Corporate Headquarter in Abuja.

Governor Darius Ishaku has called on the National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control to support his local manufacturing drive.

The Governor made the call during a courtesy visit to the Director General of the Agency, Professor Mojisola Adeyeye at NAFDAC Corporate headquarter in Abuja.

He told the Director General on the efforts made by his administration which has led to the revival of eight moribund government-owned companies and the employment and business opportunities that abound in the State.

Governor Darius Ishaku emphasized that NAFDAC, as a control and regulatory agency, has a lot to do in supporting new and promising manufacturing companies to grow.

Speaking, Professor Adeyeye said she was pleasantly surprised to hear from the Governor about the huge potentials in Taraba State.

She said what the governor is doing by revamping ailing government-owned companies is a good example of how state governments could turn situations around to promote local enterprise and create employment opportunities.

She promised NAFDAC’s support when called upon by the State Government.

High point of the visit was the presentation of cartons of highland tea and tom oil (Taraba oil) by Governor Darius Ishaku to the Management of NAFDAC.
