Governor Darius Ishaku has pledged to harness the cultural potentials of diverse ethnic groups in Taraba State.
The Governor made the pledge during Kumbo Youth and Cultural Day held at Kumbo Special Primary School, Donga Local Government Area.
He remarked that parents have a great role to play in reviving cultural values that are going into extinction for the benefit of upcoming generations.
Governor Ishaku maintained the quest of his administration to boost tourism in a bid to improve social and economic activities.
The Governor promised to upgrade the Primary Health Care Center to a Referral Center in the area to ameliorate the sufferings of the people.
In his remarks, Chief of Staff, Government House Administration, Stephen Haruna Gbana thanked Governor Darius Ishaku for attending the annual festival of the Kumbo Youths.
He assured him of the community’s stance to sustain the cultural event for the benefit of the people.
Earlier, the guest speaker at the occasion, Ekah Ali asked people of the community to pursue the integration of various communities and clans for the advancement of their society.
The guest speaker identified five areas where Youths can be great assets which include: Education, Cultural heritage, Unity, Peace and Community development.
Ekah, advised the youths to embrace Agriculture, engage in sports and entertainment and also participate in politics to contribute their quota to the development of the State.
Traditional dances were also featured at the event.
