General T.Y Danjuma, a former Defence Minister and Chief of Army Staff paid visit to the Palace of the Aku-Uka to condole with the people of Wukari alongside tribes and friends of the ancient Kwararafa Kingdom over the transition of the revered monarch, HRM Dr. Shekarau Angyu Masa-Ibi Kuvyon II.
He is not only a recipient of one of the most respected traditional title in the kingdom as Abonta of Wukari but also the most illustrious son of the Jukun who has not only brought pride to all Jukun speaking people and their allies but also set them high in the pedestal of honor in the national and international climes owing to his superlative contributions to the socioeconomic growth of the country at large.
Danjuma extolled the virtues of the supreme leader of the Jukun kingdom, describing him as an embodiment of peace and wisdom whose style of leadership has stabilised and solidified the relationship of Jukun and their friends making them one of the fastest growing sector of the economy including service through assistance, acknowledgement and recommendation to high places.
He stressed the contributions of the deceased monarch in the sphere of national security aside his doggedness in time of security challenges in his domain, adding that his resolute and calmness in terms of impartial dispensation of justice and reconciliation in the face of skirmishes made him a Leader extra ordinary.
The Abonta of Wukari said not only the Jukun community but the entire nation has lost a beacon of hope in the late Aku-Uka, adding that his transition to the world beyond has not only left a vacuum in our historical space but also in the socioeconomic landscape as well.
He pledged to remain unalloyed in reps to the Aku-Uka Palace alongside its traditional activities praying that God Almighty comfort the family and be at the center of every activities being carried out by the kingmakers as they pilot the affairs of the Palace as well as other spiritual activities that would lead to the emergence of a new Aku-Uka.
