Fifty women drawn from the 24 Constituency of Taraba state through the wives of their members have been empowered with one hundred thousand naira each as grants to start up menial businesses.
Her Excellency, Mrs. Agyin Agbu Kefas, who hosted the beneficiaries in her office along side the wives of Taraba State House of Assembly Members provided the funds for the 50 beneficiaries.
She stressed that it is important to empower women because they require very little capital to grow their businesses and such empowerment is sure to affect the whole family and even the community.
