The Executive Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas has tasked the Management of the NYSC Scheme in the State to partner with agri-based groups and organizations in the rural communities as well as Funding Partners to access Land and other resources to enable the Corps Members to venture into agriculture to boost food production, create jobs, create wealth and increasingly contribute to the Gross Domestic Products (GDP) of the nation.

Dr. Kefas made this known in the address delivered by his representative, the Deputy Governor of the State, Alhaji Abdullahi Aminu Alkali who presided over the official closing of the orientation course for Corps Members deployed to Taraba State.

He equally restated the need for the corps members to remain disciplined, law-abiding, and responsible at all times, urging them to always use social media responsibly.

The Governor also implored the Corps Members to make ample use of the service year to contribute their quota to the socio-economic development of the Places of Primary Assignment and host communities. In this vein, he enjoined the members to walk the talk of the message of the SAED programme by following up assiduously on the post-camp training, perfecting the skills learned in the camp, and re-training other youths in their host community.

He also restated the commitment of the state government to youth empowerment and development, stating that the government will continue to provide the enabling environment, support, and assistance to enable the scheme to achieve its objective.

Earlier in an address, the Coordinator, NYSC Taraba State, Mr. Anthony M. Nzoka, while presenting a detailed report of the orientation course to the Special Guest of Honour, he equally entreated the members to be loyal, dedicated, and impact-driven. He further urged them to feel free to relate with members of their body communities without fear or hindrance. He also expressed his profound gratitude to the representative of the Governor for presiding over the occasion.
