Rescue mission achievements in Education sector despite the court case and dwindling Federal allocation to the state.

  3. Transportation of students on Exchange Programme – N16, 961, 200.00.
  4. Restructuring /Renovation of WAEC Office in jalingo and the purchase of 406 peugeot Wagon for WAEC office in Taraba state –N7, 000,000.00.
  5. Presentation of Education sector plan and annual schools census –N 17,136,240.00
  6. Conveyance of Mass Education Board Material from Abuja to Jalingo for kumbo, Donga Local Government Area.
  7. Approval and acceptance for Gechan [NGO] in collaboration with JAMB office /MOE to set up JAMB centre in Gembu. What a good news to the people of Sardauna and her environs.
  8. Training of 100 youth in Israel for employment/empowerment.

Mr Jigem L. Johanes

Mr Jigem L. Johanes

The Hon. Commissioner of the Ministry, Mr Jigem H. Johanes, hails from Sardauna Local Government and was born 25th March 1963. He is married with four (4) children.

He began his Educational career at Mbamnga Central Primary School from 1973 to 1978. He proceeded for his Post-Primary Education at Government Teachers College, Gembu from 1978 – 1983. He proceeded further to College of Education Hong, Gongola state from 1984 – 1987 and the University of Calabar for his first degree from 1989 – 1991.

Achievements

His achievements include;

Being a Member of Teachers Council of Nigeria.

Awards and Honours

  • Achievers Award Taraba state.
  • Sardauna youth forum certificate of recognition and hard work.
  • Commendation by the state P.D.P chairman for hard work and physical development.
  • Commendation for P.T.A activities by Taraba state teaching service board.
  • Best Evangelist – Nigerian Christian coppers fellowship Port-Harcourt in 1991.

Fwadu the Secretary and Acting Permanent Secretary, ministry of education was born on the 2nd April 1963. He hails from Kurmi Local Government Area of Taraba State and is married with Children.

Alhaji Isa Alhaji Yahaya, the Director of Finance and Supply in the Ministry. He was born 5th April 1985 and he hails from Lau local government. He is married with Seven (7) children.

He started his primary school at Local Education Authority (L.E.A) Primary School, Lau from 1967 – 1973. He attended General Murtala Mohammed College, Yola from 1973 – 1978. He later proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Institute of Administration from 1983 – 1985 and University of Abuja from 1996 – 2002.

Professional Achievements

In his professional achievement, he is a Certified National (C.N.A) in 2014 and a Member, Nigerian Institute of Management in 2000.

Mr Samson Awunji Ada is the Director for Quality Assurance Service in the Ministry. He was born 11th May 1960 and hails from Wukari Local Government Area. He is married with Six (6) children.

He began his Educational career at the Ebenezer primary school Wukari from 1967 to 1973.  He attends and completed his Post-Primary school at Government Secondary School Wukari, from 1973 – 1978. He proceeded to College of Preliminary Studies, Yola 1978 to 1980 and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, from 1980 – 1983.

Position Held

  1. Appointment as Chairman, All Nigeria Conference of Principals of Secondary School (ANCOPSS), Gembu zone from 2000 – 2014.
  2. Chairman, All Nigeria Conference of Principals of Secondary School  (ANCOPSS), Wukari zone from 2014.

Alhaji Bakari Sanda Mohammed

Alhaji Bakari Sanda Mohammed, the Director of Primary and Secondary Education in the Ministry was born on the 7th January 1958. He hails from Jalingo Local Government and is married with Three (3) children.

He began his educational career at Mohammed Nya Primary School Jalingo, from 1965 – 1971.

He attended Government Secondary School, Jalingo from 1970 – 1976 and also attended Government Teachers College, Mubi, Gongola state from 1977 – 1978. He proceeded to Jalingo for his Advanced Teachers College, Jalingo from 1979 – 1982 and also Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria from 1986 – 1988.

Position Held

  1. A principal from 1992 – 2014.
  2. Director, School Service with the Post Primary School Management Board Jalingo from 2014 – 2015.

Mr Buba Jilack Peter

Mr Buba Jilack Peter, the Director of Technical and Science Education in the Ministry was born 1st January 1959 and hails from Sardauna Local Government. He is married with Seven (7) children.

He began his Educational career at the Dorofi Central Primary School from 1968 – 1975 and completed his Secondary School at Teachers College, Jalingo from 1977 – 1981. He obtained his National Certificate in Education (N.C.E) from College of Education, Jalingo – 1983 – 1986. He furthered his studies at the University of Maiduguri from 1990 – 1994 and enrolled into the University of Calabar for his Master’s Degree.

Professional Achievements

Professionally, he has achieved a lot and made an impact in the following;

  1. He was a Teacher, Vice principal and a Principal.
  2. He held a position as a Director of Science and Technical Education and served with (GECHAN) NGO as the grown foot distributor for malnourished orphans in 2014.
  3. He was also a consultant and facilitator for family health initiator in 2007.

Awards Received

Mr Buba received an Award from the Strategic Institute for Resource Human Development.
