The Chief Judge of Taraba State, Hon. Justice Joel Agya, has announced the 2025 Annual Vacation of the High Court of Justice, which will commence on Monday, 4 August 2025, and conclude on Sunday, 5 October 2025.
The announcement was made through Taraba State Legal Notice No. 3 of 2025, issued in accordance with the provisions of the High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules, which empower the Chief Judge to designate the annual vacation period for the High Courts across the state.
During the vacation, regular court sittings in all divisions of the Taraba State High Court will be suspended. However, the courts will continue to entertain urgent matters where necessary, or where all parties involved request that a judge hear a case during the vacation period.
To ensure uninterrupted access to justice in urgent cases, Hon. Justice Yahaya Goje has been appointed as the Vacation Judge and will preside over matters requiring immediate judicial attention throughout the vacation.
The Taraba State Judiciary encourages members of the public, legal practitioners, and court users to take note of the vacation schedule and make appropriate arrangements while remaining assured that urgent judicial services will continue to be available during the period.
