Town hall meeting in Yakoko Ward

The following issues were brought up:

There is need for State Government to help fix Yakoko-Zing road.

Ministry of Rural Development to note.

  There is need to sink boreholes in all the units of the wards.
Ministry of Water Resources to note.
  There are insufficient Teachers in all the Primary Schools. There are insufficient Teachers in all the Primary Schools.
Visit to General Hospital Zing Appreciates His Excellency for deployment of more Nurses to the hospital.  
  Appealed for the release of running cost. State Government to note.
  There is need for autoclave machine for sterilization and Sphygmomanometer. HSMB to note.
 
  • There is need to re-roof the burnt down. quarters which houses Youth corps members.
  • There is request for provision of ambulance.
Ministry of health to note.
  There is need for repair of motorized borehole.
Ministry of Water Resources to note.
  A Philanthropists donated bed sheets to the hospital. His Excellency to personally sign an appreciation letter addressed to the Philanthropist.
Visit to Vocational Training Centre Zing
  • There are Insufficient Teachers in Science and technical subjects.
  • Need to construct an Exam hall.
  • Need to renovate a cracked block of classroom.
Ministry of education/Teaching Service Board to note.
  Need to install the 50KVA generating set supplied since 2007. Ministry of Rural development to note.
Visit to Skills Acquisition Centers The team visited the langtang weaving and tailoring centers.  All trainees were in high spirit catching up with training. They all Appreciate His Excellency for engaging them.  
Assistance
The following people were assisted with various sums of money:

  • Mrs. Victoria Zing ‘A’ ward given N10,000 for drugs.
  • A Cancer patient given N20,000 to buy drugs.
  • Repairs of 2 boreholes in Zing at N20,000.
  • Mrs. Beatrice Felix delivered and was assisted with N15,000.
  • The Chairman Muslim Council Zing was assisted with N20,000 to manage his twin daughters born with a Psycho-motor disorder.
