A Foremost Nigerian Politician, Architect is Gone

His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku has received with shock news of the untimely death of Chief Alex Ifeanyichukwu Ekwueme, former Vice President of Nigeria and foremost Nigerian architect, which occurred November 19, 2017.

Chief Ekwueme played a critical role in the political engineering process that gave birth to the present democratic dispensation in Nigeria. His very mature approach to politics, forthrightness, and patriotism also helped in no small way to nurture and sustain that process. His contributions will certainly be accorded a generous place in the political history books of the country.

His Excellency wishes to extend his sincere condolences to the members of the family of this political stalwart and architect, a profession that he is also a proud member of, the Governors and the entire people of the South East States of Nigeria on this sad occurrence. May God Almighty grant them the fortitude to bear the loss of this illustrious gift to the Nigerian federation.
