Aminu Jika made the clarification in his remarks during the launching of twenty million naira appeal fund for the purchase of governorship ticket for Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku, held at the gymnasium hall of the Jolly Nyame Stadium Jalingo.
He said he is a proud elder and founding member of the People’s Democratic Party and DDI campaign group, and wondered why he should leave a party that he has built over the years.
The Party chieftain stated that though at times there are bound to be disagreements among party members which creates greater understanding, he rated his relationship with Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku as cordial.
Aminu Jika applauded the stance of Governor Ishaku not to impose any candidate on the people stating that the PDP would present competent candidates in next year’s election in the state.
The PDP stalwarts called on his party members not to panic about APC, a party that is alien to Taraba politics, but called for caution for the PDP members not to be complacent.
