Participants at the meeting made the following requests:

Provision of motorised water borehole.

    Cases of illegal logging of trees are looked into.

Ministry of Agriculture and natural resources to note.

    Lack of teachers in the primary school.

Requested for more teachers to be posted to jauro Habu primary School

    Construction of Mallum-Deman ‘B’ village road. Ministry of Rural Development to note.
    Request for provision of fertiliser to support Farmers.

The Team’s Visit to Iware town

Iware was the venue for October town hall meeting. No action has been effected yet on request and observations made.

  The Team’s Visit to GDSS Mallum
  • Inadequate teaching staff. Only 5 Permanent staff and 7 seconded.
  • Lack of School laboratory.
  • Collasped staff and students toilets.
Ministry of Education/Teaching Service Board to note.
 

The Team’s Visit to Primary Health Centre Mallum

  • No microscope in health Centre.
  • Dilapidated structure.
  • Inadequate drug supply.
  • Lack of beddings and Blood Pressure monitoring apparatus.

 

CTC Chairman to take action.
  The Team’s Visit to Cottage Hospital Sunkani
  • The Hospital have X-ray machine but the building to mount it is not completed.
  • Encroachment of hospital land.

 

Health Services Management Board to note and take action.
  The Team’s Visit to training Centres All the trainees undergoing training were found in their designated centres.

They thanked His Excellency the Governor for the gesture to rescue them from poverty.
