“I am here with my executives to thank you for the support you have given to our association and for the befitting state burial you gave our former chairman. We were not ashamed because we have a father and a leader.

“I have noted the massive development at the secretariat and all the inputs you’ve made there. Also, your intervention in resolving the lingering issues in the United Methodists Church is worthy of emulation.

“The green house also is a revolution and it is our hope that the University and other institutions will take advantage of the organic farm for research purposes.

“Also, the peace we enjoy in our State is attributed to your resilience in ensuring citizens live peacefully with one another. That will for sure attract more development”.

“We congratulate you for emerging as the only candidate of the PDP and assure you of our support and prayers. We will work with you and we trust that at the end of your tenure as Governor, CAN will be proud to say we stood by you all the way”. He noted.

He expressed joy with the way the association went about the election which brought the incumbent chairman into office and assured them of Government continuous support to make sure peaceful coexistence among the Christian faithful.

“Let me thank you for this visit and assure you that I will be with you and make sure that you have all the necessary support from government. The developmental goals we have set for the State is on course and we will do our best to make sure that we meet the yearnings and aspirations of Tarabans.

“ l am duty bound to make sure we live in peace and I therefore request your prayers. We need it to galvanize and strengthen us”.

Governor Ishaku admonished the association to embrace peace and show respect for one another. He also stressed the need for Christians to engage in agricultural activities as a sustainable means of livelihood.

“I urge you to encourage your church leaders who do not have white collar jobs to go into farming. The turnover in dry season farming is huge and I believe if they embark on it, they stand to help immensely from the yield” he stated.
