
Taraba State Government Pleased With the Activities of NSCDC – Engr. Manu

The Deputy Governor, Engr. Haruna Manu has called on the good people of Taraba state to cooperate and support the Civil Defense Corps and other security agencies to serve us better.
The Deputy Governor made the call in his speech at the inauguration of 300 Agro Rangers, POP and decoration of newly promoted officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) where he represented his boss, the Executive Governor, Arch. Darius Dickson Ishaku at the NSCDC state command .
“The task of ensuring the safety and security of lives and property is a collective responsibility, we all have a role to play.”
Engr. Haruna Manu said that the state government is well pleased with the activities of NSCDC in Taraba State, stressing that the new unit will help to protect both the farmers and herders who engage in lawful activities and will ultimately increase investment in agriculture and boost food security.
The agro rangers are specialised forces of the NSCDC detailed to protect agro allied investments of Nigerians and to combat cattle rustling, farmer/herders clashes and banditry among other crimes in the state.
