
TY Danjuma Flags Off Construction of Takum – Chanchanji Road, Begs for Timely Completion
Gen. Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma yesterday, flagged off the construction of the 40- kilometer Section II of the Takum – Chanchangi – Wukari Road in Taraba State.

In a brief remark, Governor Darius Ishaku said the road when completed would boost economic activities in the region and ease movement of agricultural goods to the markets.
He assured General TY Danjuma that he would return to commission the project before December next year.
The Project Manager, SCC Nig. Ltd (the company handling the construction of the road), Mr. Michael Rolbin promised that his company would complete the work in record time with strict adherence to internationally accepted quality.
On his part, the commissioner for works, Hon. Tafarki Agbadu said the construction of the remaining section of the road became imperative, noting that when completed it would boost agricultural activities and enhance security surveillance of the area.
Our correspondent reports that the governor had earlier commissioned 1×7.5MVA electricity power station in Takum and also layed the foundation for the remodeling and construction ofthe International Model Secondary School in Takum.

Northeast and is estimated to cost N1.25 billion.
