Taraba State Government Eid – El Maulud Goodwill Message

Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku has, on the occasion of Eid-El- Maulud being marked throughout the world today urged Muslim faithfuls in Taraba State to be steadfast in their prayers for peace and a crime free state.

Eid-el-Maulud reminds us all about the Prophet of peace and the legacy of peace which he promoted through his teachings and which he left behind for the Muslim Umma.

This occasion should, therefore, be taken
as one for sober reflection and to pray for the permanent end to all the crises that the state has passed through.

He expressed happiness that peace is gradually returning to all the crisis areas and urged Tarabans of all religious persuasions to continue to support government efforts towards achieving lasting peace with prayers.

Governor Ishaku is happy with what the military operating in the state under the second phase of operation Ayem Akpatuma has achieved so far and urged them not to relent until their mission which is full restoration of peace is completely achieved.

Governor Ishaku called for support for the military operation by the people of the state.

He reminded the Muslim Umma not to allow the lessons of Eid-el- Mualud to elude them, urging them to always show humility, empathy and support for the poor and needy as exemplified by Prophet Mohammed.

Gov. Ishaku wished the entire Muslim Umma in the state happy Eid-el-Maulud.
