Suntai: Funeral Service Held at Mainbowl, Jolly Nyame Stadium, Jalingo
Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku says the demise of Danbaba Suntai, former Governor of the state is a monumental loss to the inestimable people of Taraba and the country at large.
The Governor stated this during the funeral service of late Danbaba Danfulani Suntai held at the Mainbowl of the Jolly Nyame Stadium Jalingo.
He said during the unfortunate plane mishap, people prayed fervently for him which was an indication that he was loved by the people.
Governor Ishaku saluted the show of love and solidarity from people within and outside the state urging them to be firm in praying for the deceased.
The Governor commended the late Governor’s three security aides who survived the air crash for their bravery and loyalty to their former boss.
He thanked the roles of Theophilus Danjuma and Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for their numerous assistance to late Danbaba Suntai.
Governor Ishaku urged Tarabans to be consoled with the good attributes of the deceased which centers on love, compassion and kindness.
The Governor on behalf of the people of the state and family commiserated with the family of the deceased and grant him eternal rest.
In his message, President of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria, Musa Panti Philibus, called on Tarabans to entrust the body of the deceased in the hands of the Lord.
The Clergy who christened his message “What are you looking for”, culled from Philippians chapter one verse twenty one, urged citizens to worship God in truth and in spirit as death is uncertain.
In his vote of thanks CAN Chairman Taraba State, Ben Ubeh, thanked Special guest, Clergies and Tarabans who attended the funeral service.
Governors of Ekiti , Plateau, Gombe and representative from Nasarawa, Bauchi and Borno states all paid glowing tributes to the former Governor.
