Ichen Elders Pledges Loyalty and Support for Gov. Darius Ishaku’s Administration

In what seems to be a courtesy call by Elders from the Ichen community to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Taraba state, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku, the Elders expressed gratitude to God Almighty for the opportunity of making the governor the leader of the entire state even at this challenging moment.

The Elders also used the privileged opportunity to appreciate the governor for appointing one of their son, Pastor Gambo Ndafo as Commissioner and various other appointees.

They also appreciated the love shown by the governor for keying into the election of some of their sons at the National Assembly.

In his words, the spokesperson for the Elders said;

“We the Ichen people pledge our loyalty to this administration and also to serve the state diligently with a view to bringing the goals of the Rescue Mission to success”.

“We want to let you know that your rescue mission is touching lives of the people in Donga”.

“We appreciate you and just like Oliver twist, we ask that you come to our Rescue by constructing our roads, also the Mararaba Donga to Baissa”.

“We promise our unflinching support for your administration Sir”.

Governor Darius Ishaku thanked the Elders from Ichen for coming to share in the joy of Christmas with him.

He also commended some of their sons serving in his government, stressing that he is proud of the Commissioner, Pastor Ndafo and referred to Captain Ndatse as an ‘Outstanding Legislator’.

Governor Darius Ishaku said that he will in his capacity, place a close eye on the Mararraba-Donga-Baissa road.

He also said that his administration is working hard on the water MDG project to see that it is enough to supply sufficient water.

The governor pleaded with the people to continue to spread love, stressing that the only thing that Taraba state need is peace because we have all it takes to live a great life. He charged them to tolerate each other and see each other as brothers so as to enjoy the dividend of democracy.

He assured them that by the grace of God, all that have been asked and prayed for will come to pass, emphasising that when we leave together as one, the heavens will always seal whatever we agree on earth.
