Mambilla Hydro: Minister of Power, Gov. Ishaku Resolves to Actualise the Project

Governor Ishaku visits the Minister of Power, Engr. Saleh Mamman in his office.

Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Power, Engr. Saleh Mamman at the Ministry of Power headquarters, Abuja.

They spoke on issues relating to the Mambilla Hydro Electric power project located in Taraba State and other Federal Power projects situated in the State.

Engineer Saleh Mamman said the Mambilla Power project is a legacy project of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration that is being pursued with all the commitment required.

They both resolved to work tirelessly towards the actualization of the Project for the betterment of Taraba State and Nigeria at large.

The Honourable Minister thanked Gov. Ishaku, saying he is most grateful for the honor and called him “My Governor.”

His Excellency Gov. Ishaku himself is a former Minister of Power and was accompanied by the Distinguished Senator Shuaibu Lau representing Taraba North at the 9th Senate.

The Executive Governor of Taraba state, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku, FNIA, FNITP has on behalf of himself, the government and the entire people of Taraba state, joined Nigerians to congratulate Engineer Saleh Mamman on his well deserved appointment as Minister of Power.

The governor in his congratulatory message described the minister as an Illustrious son of the state and that the people of Taraba state are proud of this honour done to the state by President Muhammadu Buhari through his appointment.

He expressed his sincere appreciation to the President on behalf of the state, noting that the position of a cabinet minister of power is a rare privilege for the state and has come at a time that Tarabans are pleading for the commencement of the Mambilla Hydro Electric Dam located in our dear state.

He further noted that the appointment of Engr. Saleh Mamman as Minister of Power at this point in time has reinforced the hope of all Tarabans and the entire Nigerian populace that the Mambilla Hydro Electric Dam and other projects located in the state will now receive the desired attention of the federal government.
