Gov. Ishaku Inspects Projects to be Commissioned by the Vice President

Gov. ISHAKU Inspects Projects

In order to ensure that all arrangements preparatory to the Vice President’s visit are done, Taraba state Governor, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku on Wednesday inspected projects initiated, started and completed by him within the span of two years as the Executive Governor.

This was to ascertain that the projects billed for commissioning by the Vice President, Yemi Osibanjo GCON are all in proper shape and ready for commissioning.

The projects inspected by the Governor, Darius Ishaku included the overhead Tanks and reservoirs at Mile Six, dual carriageway from Roadblock to Kona Garo , Danbaba Suntai’s Airport and the Taraba Greenhouse.

Accordingly, the Tanks and reservoirs were built to improve water supply within Jalingo metropolis and the suburbs to save water to forestall scarcity, the Roadblock to Kona dual carriageway which is 6.5 kilometers is to provide access road and ease transportation problem faced by the Community.

Similarly, the Jalingo Airport which is now being renamed as Danbaba Danfulani Suntai Airport was started by the first civilian Governor of the state, Rev. Jolly Nyame, expanded by late Governor Suntai and put to use by the present Governor, Darius Ishaku after putting finishing touches to the Airport and the Taraba Greenhouse which was started by Governor Ishaku and completed by him with the intention to supply the vegetables needs of the country are all ready.

All the projects inspected were multi billion Naira projects which were vigorously pursued by the present administration to reposition the state to be vibrant in terms of food production.

The visit of the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osibanjo GCON, which is a one day visit is to commission and put to use and as well inspect other ongoing projects within the state capital.
