Fulani Herdsmen Attacks a Community in Gassol LGA
Fulani herdsmen in the early hours of Friday attacked Ngutsuwen, a village in Gassol LGA, Taraba State killing four persons – two men and two women. The attack came barely 12 hours after Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku raised the alarm of a plan to attack the state.
A team of journalists who visited the community on Friday witnessed the burial of the corpses.
According to the account of the villagers, Heavily armed Fulani men numbering about 20 stormed the community after the villagers had already gone to bed.
They shot sporadically in all directions and left four in the pool of their own blood soon after. All members of the community vacated the village soon after burying their relations for fear of further attacks
The police in Jalingo confirmed the casualty figures from the attacks.
