HRM Amb. Sanvala Varzoa Shimbura, Gargbanyi II, the 10th Gara of Donga.

The Executive Governor of Taraba state His Excellency, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku CON, has officially installed and presented the staff of office to His Royal Majesty Amb. Sanvala Varzoa Shimbura, Gargbanyi II as the 10th Gara of Donga on Thursday, 20th October 2022.

The staff of office was presented to the first class chief, His Royal Majesty Sanvala Varzoa Shimbura by His Excellency Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku, the Executive Governor of Taraba state to assume office as the Gara Donga the 10th of Donga chiefdom.

Governor Ishaku in his speech said that Donga land is known for peace and all the good things to humanity because the late Gara Donga was a man of peace, wisdom and integrity who unite the people and build bridges of friendship all around himself.

He said that traditional leaders are very important in preserving law, order and peace in their societies and that his administration has been conscious and has given the monarch a top priority for the maintenance of peace in the entire state, which is why Taraba is a home to be.

He urged the just installed Gara Donga to maintain his reputation and carry out his responsibilities always. 

In his vote of thanks, the just installed Gara Donga, HRM Amb. Sanvala Varzoa Shimbura thanked HRM Manu Ishaku Adda Ali Matakhitswen, the Aku Uka of Wukari, Gen. T Y Danjuma, His Excellency, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku, the Deputy Governor, Engr. Haruna Manu, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, all Members of the House of Assembly, other top government functionaries, all Royal fathers, his chamber brothers from Cameroon, the people of Donga, Taraba state and Nigeria at large for taking out time to celebrate him and took an oath to defend and protect his people, Taraba state government and the Federal Republic of Nigeria at large.

The occasion was graced by Taraba Elder Statesman, Gen. T Y Danjuma, some Governors, Royal Fathers within and outside the state, State House of Assembly Members, State Chief Justice, High Court Judges, Commissioners among many other dignitaries present, men and women of caliber from all over the sixteen local government in Taraba state, Politicians within and outside the state and Nigeria at large, with different traditional dancers from all over kwararafa kingdom.
