The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Taraba State chapter and the Muslim Council has visited Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku at his office in Government House Jalingo.
Gov. Ishaku in his remarks appreciated both councils for finding time to come felicitate and pray for him.
The governor used the visit to appreciate the entire people of Taraba for believing in him and for re-electing him with a wide margin of votes adding that he’ll never relent in his thrive on taking the state out of poverty and called on Tarabans to support the efforts of government to ensure peace in the state.
Gov. Ishaku expressed that his administration will leave an enviable legacy of dedicated service with many lives positively touched.
He yet stressed that the devil was always going around looking for people to use in destabilising the state but assured that the prayers of faithful Tarabans have always frustrated such evil plots.
He acknowledged that there are challenges but said he is hopeful that they would be overcome.
In his speech, the CAN Chairman said the visit was to felicitate with the Governor on his victory at the tribunal and to pray for him for God’s grace toward discharging his duties.
Rev. Jirapye (CAN Chairman Taraba state Chapter ) added that God had chosen Governor Ishaku to lead Taraba, therefore, no man can take a position against what God has done.
On his part, the Chairman Muslims Council said as religious leaders they only pray for leaders and urged Tarabans to accept and support the decision that Allah has made concerning Governor Ishaku.
Taraba state Governor, Darius Dickson Ishaku today condoled the family of late Dr. Ben Ube, Taraba state Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, Taraba state Chapter who died in a ghastly motor accident this morning.
Darius Ishaku said he was with him up to ten o’clock in the night where they came to see him to lead them to see Taraba’s elder statesman TY Danjuma for an important discussion and after that, he and the five blocks CAN left around 10:00 pm.
The Governor stated that when death happens you have nothing to say because God is the giver of life and has the power to decide when to take it at the time he so desires, which humanly speaking it is difficult to comprehend, pointing out that life is transient and simple to depart.
He remarked that the preacher who is from Adamawa state moved to Taraba and became a Taraban and with heart of sincerity and humility, he served the people of the state, dedicated his life and time to the state and eruditely preached the gospel to the people very well and touched many lives as a result of his stewardship in the state.
The state Governor encouraged the family to accept his passing on to glory in good faith, positing that, he has gone to rest with his creator.
Darius Ishaku also told the family that General TY Danjuma retired who attended the maiden convocation of Taraba state University and was also with the CAN Chairman yesterday in the night sends his condolences, saying that the elder statesman was indeed very shocked when he informed him of his death before his departure.
Responding on behalf of the family, a brother of the deceased, Dr. Ensley Dubi appreciated the Governor for finding time to come and commiserate with the family in spite of his numerous and time-consuming schedules.
Dr. Dubi said his visit to condole the family shows the love and respect he had for his late brother, Dr. Ben Ube and informed the Governor that a worthy representative will soon emerge to continue from where his late brother stopped for the state.
He appreciated the Governor and his entourage for the show of concern and love to the family, stressing that it will go a long way in strengthening the family to accept his death in good faith and appreciated God for using him positively in Taraba state.

and founder of Jesus Glorious Army worldwide, died this morning in a motor accident in Zing local government on his way to Yola in Adamawa state to dedicate of the new branches of his Church and to also dedicate set of triplets of one of his Church members and friend who has been married for the past 25 years without a child and were recently blessed with set of triplets.
