Governor Ishaku Attends Aisha and Wumi’s Wedding In Kaduna.

Prayer has been identified as key towards a successful marriage. Bishop of the Anglican Church, Diocese of Kaduna, Timothy Yahaya made the remarks during the wedding solemnization of Aisha Dauda and Oyewumi Oyedokun at our Saviour’s Anglican Church Kaduna State.

He said when couples pray together they will always make their home a danger zone for enemies. The Bishop who Christened his message, keys of a successful marriage remarked that any marriage that is not built on the foundation of Jesus Christ would surely crash.

Timothy Yahaya maintained that pump and pageantry are irrelevant during marriage, urging couples to leave the life of sacrifice for the sake of love, peace and harmony.  He stressed that communication is also very vital in establishing homes which Christians must strive at maintaining and decease from uttering inflammatory statements to one another.

The Clergy said sacrificial freedom by the couples would help them to understand one another with love and respect for one another. Timothy Yahaya on behalf of the Anglican Diocese of Kaduna commiserated with Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku and Tarabans over the demise of Danbaba Danfulani Suntai, former Governor of the State.

Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku was accompanied to the wedding solemnization by his wife Barr. Anna Ishaku, Permanent Secretary liaison office Abuja, Jeji Williams and other aides.

It was an unforgettable moment of joy as Pastor Williams Elue took Pastor Susan Aigbedion, a niece to the Taraba State Governor, Architect Darius Dickson Ishaku to the alter in holy matrimony. The event which was held on the 20th August 2016 at the HEKAN Church, Katsina Road Kaduna was attended by the Governor and his wife, Barr. Anna Ishaku.

DSC_9885The Governor who spoke at the event congratulated the couple on such a momentous occasion stating that their case was a rare and peculiar opportunity God had given them to start all over again as theirs was not just the union of two individuals but the joining of two families.

While giving the exhortation, Pastor Gideon Awala Audu stressed the need for love to reign in every Christian marriage as it was imperative to allow God take charge of every situation to enable couples to consider themselves as fresh and precious gifts to each other in the sight of God.

In his sermon themed “Continuing from where you stopped”, Pastor Awala advised the couple to bury their past and forge ahead to make a home that will be worthy of emulation to others. He stated that they were both called by God to serve as ministers and it is important not to show any segregation among their children but love them all equally.

DSC_9962Pastor Gideon Audu further emphasized the need for the couple to be united as they became one flesh and spirit and said marriage is not a contract that can be revoked but a covenant that is for their entire lifetime.

Barr. Anna Darius Ishaku who was also the chair lady of the occasion congratulated the couple for a successful ceremony and called on the gathering to join the couple in prayers as they begin their new lives together.

Earlier in a remark by the chairperson of the occasion, Prince Sunday Fagbemi congratulated the couple and advised them to stay faithful to one another and love each other no matter the situation as marriage is not to be seen as a bed of roses thereby they must hold unto God as they build their home.

In his vote of thanks, Pastor Williams Elue appreciated God and all that contributed in one way or the other to the success of the wedding ceremony and prayed for journey mercies back to their destinations.

Also in attendance was Hajiya Zainab Haruna Manu, the wife of the Deputy Governor and other prominent dignitaries and aides to the Governor.
